SWE x Skin Scholars from Howard University College of Medicine will be having an event March 14. For the age demographic of 7-18 years old, Skin Scholars cater program to educate the students on healthy and effective means to manage these new changes as well as start a conversation emphasizing their normalcy. We want to encourage proper habits as early as possible. Skin Scholars will provide the opportunity to learn more about skin and hair conditions that commonly affect our community, early warning signs, and how to best take care of their own skin. Acne, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun protection, and self care are among the things students must juggle with their overwhelming school schedules. Finding the time and money to explore what works best for them is a balance many students struggle with.
