Are You in Need of Food Assistance?

From our food pantry and indoor thrift store, our home deliveries program, and the many pop-up distributions we host across the DMV, So What Else has plenty of ways to connect you with the resources you need.

Please Note:

All food is available on a first-come, first-serve basis until resources run out. The majority of our fresh food is recovered — meaning that the variety, quantity, and quality is subject to change from day to day.
Please bring a bag or cart with you when arriving at a distribution as the number of bags and boxes we have are limited and subject to running out.
Please make an appointment HERE to receive food from our Wyaconda location in North Bethesda, MD. No walk-ins will be accepted moving forward.

Important Update: Diaper Distribution Changes

Effective immediately, we are making changes to our diaper distribution program. Please take note of the following adjustments:

Eligibility: The diaper distribution will now be limited to children born between 2020 and 2024. This revision ensures that our resources are directed to those in the greatest need.

Please bring with you a copy of your (parent or guardian) ID as well as something with the child’s name and DOB on it (birth certificate, medical paperwork, insurance card).

We understand these modifications may impact some of our clients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transition. Our commitment to supporting families remains unwavering, and we will continue to explore ways to enhance our services.

Important Update: Home Delivery Program

Due to a recent reduction in resources, the So What Else Home Deliveries Program is now requiring all clients to fill out a form in order to continue receiving deliveries. Thank you for your understanding. Please fill out the form here: https://bit.ly/swedelivers.

If you are a homebound individual and are unable to stop by our pantry or pop-up distributions due to a disability or lack of transportation, consider enrolling in our home delivery program!

Participants will receive one bag of food per week, the quantity and variety of which is subject to change based on supplies. Please note that this program is entirely volunteer-driven, so the days and times of your delivery are subject to change based on our volunteer capacity.

Due to high demand, you may be placed on a waitlist if you reside outside of our geographic zone, so please be patient as we take time to process your request.
