So What Else Joins COAD: Community Organizations Active in Disaster

We are proud to announce that we have now joined COAD!

“The Montgomery County COAD is a collaborative partnership between community stakeholders – voluntary, private and non-profit organizations – that assists in organizing community efforts to provide needed services to community members that arise as the result of a disaster.”

What Does COAD do? “COAD was formed to improve the awareness of the needs of the community and connect those needs with the organizations that can provide support. The goal…is to organize and deploy community resources in an efficient and timely manner during each phase of a disaster.”

So What Else representative, Ms. Talia Ramey, was nominated to be a member of the COAD leadership council and she has proudly accepted the position! It is So What Else’s commitment to receive the necessary trainings, in order to be of assistance to our community at any given time during a crisis.

Upcoming Cert Trainings:

Stop The Bleed – March 14, 2019

Mental Health First Aid – Feb 19, 2019
