DESCRIPTION:Team of Stars Summer Camp offers an intensive holistic curriculum\, blending the disciplines of musical theater (script-writing\, acting\, singing\, dancing\, and stagecraft) and Restorative Practices\, a community building/conflict-resolution approach using dialogue circles and exercises to address topics important to the campers\, e.g.\, bullying prevention\, overcoming obstacles\, mental health\, drugs\, love\, and stereotyping. \nAll activities are led by professional instructors. DESCRIPTION:For Rising Sixth Through Rising Eighth Graders \nIn this interactive\, fun program\, participants will have the opportunity to participate in \n\nProject identification and planning of community service activities\nPersonal goal-setting and self-assessment\nLeadership skills development\nCompleting 3 community service projects\n\nThrough participation in this program\, youth will develop competencies in program planning and understand the value of participating in volunteer activities\, both personally and for the benefit of their community. \nStudents will receive 10 SSL Hours. \nThe Student Leadership Institute will be led by So What Else/Project Change staff and So What Else/Project Change high school mentors. \nTuition for the in-person Student Leadership Institute is $125 per session.
